The Jamatia of India
The Jamatia of India, numbering about 140,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Scheduled Tribe of Tripura and among its earliest settlers, speaking the Kakbarak language. They traditionally practiced shifting cultivation and are predominantly Hindu, with some converts to Christianity.
They are an indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Hinduism, and they primarily speak Kok Borok.
