The Hmar of India
The Hmar of India, numbering about 114,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a tribal community of Assam, Manipur, and Mizoram speaking a Kuki-Chin Tibeto-Burman language. Predominantly Christian, they traditionally practice shifting cultivation.
They are an indigenous people in the Kuki-Chin (Zo) people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Hmar.
