The Jimdar of India
The Jimdar of India, numbering about 99,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Garhwal community of Uttar Pradesh descended from the ancient Khas people who assumed Rajput status after intermarrying with migrant Rajput settlers. They are traditionally engaged in agriculture and pastoralism.
They are an indigenous people in the Rajput people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Garhwali.
