The Saliar of India
The Saliar of India, numbering about 150,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a weaving community of Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode, and other districts in Kerala, tracing migration from Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu. Textile-weaving remains practiced, alongside agriculture, business, and government service.
They are an indigenous people in the Marathi-Konkani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Tamil.

Pray for the Saliar
