The Savar Lodha of India
The Savar Lodha of India, numbering about 150,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Scheduled Tribe of Bihar and West Bengal's Midnapore district, also called Savar, once forest hunters, historically classified as a criminal tribe. Many now depend on agricultural labor and wage work.
They are an indigenous people in the Munda-Santal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Bengali.
