The Holar of India
The Holar of India, numbering about 155,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste community of Sholapur district in Maharashtra, a subdivision of the Mahar also known as Holaya. Traditionally cobblers, some are now in animal husbandry and agricultural labor.
They are an indigenous people in the Marathi-Konkani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Marathi.
