The Chasadhobi of India
The Chasadhobi of India, numbering about 154,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a traditional cultivating and trading caste of West Bengal whose name derives from chas, meaning agriculture. They are also called Sat-Chasi, and many today work in farming, business and teaching.
They are an indigenous people in the Bengali people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Bengali.
