The Karaiyar of India
The Karaiyar of India, numbering about 2,700 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Tamil maritime people of India's Coromandel coast whose name means people of the coast, first recorded by the 2nd-century Greek writer Ptolemy, who traded pearls and chanks while also serving as a warrior caste in the navies of Tamil kings.
They are an indigenous people in the Tamil people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Tamil.

Pray for the Karaiyar
- Ephesians 5:8. Pray that those walking in darkness will turn to the light and live as children of light.
