The Pattanavan of India
The Pattanavan of India, numbering about 11,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a marine fishing community of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry also called Karaiyan or Meenavar, their name meaning dweller of a town. Fishing remains principal, supplemented by government service.
They are an indigenous people in the Tamil people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Tamil.

Pray for the Pattanavan
- 2 Timothy 2:2. Pray for faithful local leaders who will teach others, so that the church multiplies.
