The Korama of India
The Korama of India, numbering about 171,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste community of Bengaluru, Tumakuru, and Kolar districts in Karnataka claiming descent from the Kuru dynasty. Traditionally fortune-tellers and bamboo workers, today wage labor is their main occupation.
They are an indigenous people in the Kanarese people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Hinduism, and they primarily speak Kannada.
