The Dhor of India
The Dhor of India, numbering about 177,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Gujarat whose name derives from dhor, meaning cattle, traditionally engaged in tanning cattle hide purchased untanned and sold on to leather workers.
They are an indigenous people in the Marathi-Konkani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Hinduism, and they primarily speak Marathi.
