The Bhatia Bania of India
The Bhatia Bania of India, numbering about 258,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a mercantile Hindu and Sikh community of Rajput origin claiming descent from Lord Krishna and once rulers of Jaisalmer. They are traditionally traders and are concentrated in Rajasthan, Punjab, Gujarat and Delhi.
They are an indigenous people in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Panjabi.
