The Kodava of India
The Kodava of India, numbering about 139,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a martial community of Kodagu district in Karnataka, known in English as Coorgs, divided into the non-vegetarian Kodava and vegetarian Amma Kodava. Coffee and cardamom cultivation remain their main occupation.
They are an indigenous people in the Other South Asian people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Kodava.
