The Mangar of India
The Mangar of India, numbering about 169,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a community of Sikkim and West Bengal believed to have migrated from the west, traditionally agriculturists. Terrace cultivation remains their main occupation, and many men in Darjeeling district serve in the Indian Army.
They are an indigenous people in the South Himalayan people cluster of the Himalayan Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Magar.
