The Swami of India
The Swami of India, numbering about 399,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a mendicant community of ninety Mewar villages in Rajasthan tracing origin to the sage Danka Rishi, traditionally beggars, astrologers, and palmists. Daily-wage labor now supplements these pursuits.
They are an indigenous people in the Rajasthani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Mewari.
