The Senaithalaivar of India
The Senaithalaivar of India, numbering about 182,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a community of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, their name meaning chief of the army, traditionally cultivators and sellers of betel leaves. Agriculture of varied crops remains their principal occupation and they are largely Shaivite Hindu.
They are an indigenous people in the Malayali people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Shaivaism, and they primarily speak Tamil.
