The Ghosi of India
The Ghosi of India, numbering about 320,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Madhya Pradesh community claiming Chouhan Rajput descent and divided into Rajput, Ahir, and Muslim branches, whose name recalls their traditional occupation of supplying water to villages, since replaced by agriculture.
They are an indigenous people in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Hindi.
