The Kachari of India
The Kachari of India, numbering about 74,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a family of related indigenous Tibeto-Burman peoples of Northeast India, with the Bodo tribe as the largest branch. They have a long history in Assam, distinct languages and cultures, and a significant role in the history and identity of Northeast India.
They are an indigenous people in the Other Tibeto-Burmese people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Kachari.
