The Ghatwar of India
The Ghatwar of India, numbering about 403,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Bihar community whose name was originally a title for a rural police force guarding hill passes, tracing legendary origin to the sweat of Lord Ramchandra, and traditionally engaged in cultivation and sharecropping.
They are an indigenous people in the Gujarati people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Magahi.
