The Dubla of India

The Dubla of India, numbering about 933,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Scheduled Tribe of Gujarat and Maharashtra also known as Halpati, or lords of the plow, a name given by Mahatma Gandhi to remove the stigma of their history as hereditary bonded servants to landowning communities.

They are an indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Hinduism, and they primarily speak Gujarati.
