The Guria of India
The Guria of India, numbering about 900,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a sweetmeat-making caste of Odisha, also known as Gudia, Maira, and Halwai, whose Haldia subgroup traditionally prepares the mahaprasad offered at the Jagannath temple in Puri.
They are an indigenous people in the Odia people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Odia.
