The Qassab of India, numbering about 2,650,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Muslim occupational community of Uttar Pradesh traditionally engaged in goat butchery and the sale of meat and hides. They claim descent from the Quresh of Arabia, use Qureshi as a surname, and speak Urdu.
They are an indigenous people in the Urdu people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Urdu.
