The Tagdal of Niger
The Tagdal of Niger, numbering about 74,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Berber people of northwestern Niger known as the Igdalen, culturally a Tuareg faction and historically part of the Kel Ayr Tuareg confederation's Drum Group, speaking Tagdal, a language born from intense contact between Tuareg and Songhay tongues.
They are an indigenous people in the Songhai people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Islam, and they primarily speak Tagdal.
