The Macedonians of North Macedonia
The Macedonians of North Macedonia, numbering about 1,140,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a South Slavic people of the central Balkans, speakers of Macedonian, predominantly Eastern Orthodox under the Ohrid Archbishopric, with an identity historically contested by both Bulgaria and Greece and strong Balkan folk dance traditions.
They are an indigenous people in the Slav, Southern people cluster of the Eurasian Peoples. Their primary religion is Eastern Orthodox Christianity, and they primarily speak Macedonian.
