The Tektiteko of Mexico
The Tektiteko of Mexico, numbering about 1,200 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Mamean Mayan people of southern Chiapas near the Guatemala border, closely related to the Mam, whose critically endangered language has been the subject of new grammars and dictionaries.
They are an indigenous people in the Maya people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Catholicism, and they primarily speak Spanish.
