The Kokola of Mozambique
The Kokola of Mozambique, numbering about 138,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are one of several closely related peoples of western Zambezia Province in Mozambique alongside the Manyawa, Takwane, Marenje, and Lolo, with communities extending into Malawi, speaking a Makua-related language.
They are an indigenous people in the Bantu, Makua-Yao people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Kokola.
