The Kui of Laos
The Kui of Laos, numbering about 46,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an Austroasiatic people known regionally as Kuay or Suay, whose Saravan province homeland in southern Laos was the historic source of migrations into Thailand and Cambodia, traditionally renowned as skilled elephant mahouts.
They are an indigenous people in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Kuy.
