The Phai of Laos
The Phai of Laos, numbering about 28,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an Austroasiatic ethnolinguistic people of northern Laos who speak the Prai language and maintain a distinct cultural identity rooted in village life, kinship networks, and traditional animist beliefs.
They are an indigenous people in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Phai.
