The Maleng of Laos
The Maleng of Laos, numbering about 1,100 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a small Vietic hunter-gatherer people of the forested Laos-Vietnam border highlands, mostly concentrated across the border in Vietnam's Quang Binh and Ha Tinh provinces with only a remnant population in Laos's Khammouane province.
They are an indigenous people in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Maleng.
