The Khuen of Laos
The Khuen of Laos, numbering about 15,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an indigenous Khmuic-speaking people of Luang Namtha Province in Laos. They preserve a distinct identity through clan traditions, sacred animal and plant taboos, village life, and a blend of Buddhism and local spiritual beliefs.
They are an indigenous people in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Khuen.
