The Paya-Pech of Honduras
The Paya-Pech of Honduras, numbering about 6,300 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are descendants of Chibchan-speaking migrants from South America who settled Honduras roughly three thousand years ago, later withdrawing into the Olancho and Colon highlands under pressure from Miskito raids.
They are an indigenous people in the Central American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Pech.
