The Tajumulco Mam of Guatemala
The Tajumulco Mam of Guatemala, numbering about 69,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Mam Maya people of Guatemala's San Marcos department who revere the towering Tajumulco volcano, whose Mam name means place where the dead are, as sacred alongside the neighboring Tacana volcano.
They are an indigenous people in the Maya people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Mam.
