The Hunzib of the Russian Federation
The Hunzib of the Russian Federation, numbering about 2,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Nakh-Daghestanian people of three villages near Tlyadal in Dagestan's Tsuntinsky District, long absorbed into Soviet Avar census counts before Islam took hold in the region by the 1500s-1600s.
They are an indigenous people in the Caucasus people cluster of the Eurasian Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Hunzib.
