The Karakalpaks of Kyrgyzstan, numbering about 1,300 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Turkic diaspora people descended from communities of the Aral Sea and lower Amu Darya region; they speak Karakalpak, share a Kipchak cultural heritage, and are predominantly Sunni Muslim.
They are a diaspora people in the Kazakh people cluster of the Turkic Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Kara-Kalpak.
