The Dungans of Kyrgyzstan
The Dungans of Kyrgyzstan, numbering about 69,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Hui Muslim people of Chinese origin living mainly in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan; descended from nineteenth-century migrants from northwestern China, they speak Dungan, a Sinitic language, and retain a distinct Chinese-Islamic heritage.
They are an indigenous people in the Chinese-Hui people cluster of the East Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Dungan.
