The Chechens of Kyrgyzstan
The Chechens of Kyrgyzstan, numbering about 900 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Nakh-speaking Northeast Caucasian diaspora people descended largely from communities deported from the North Caucasus during the Soviet era; they retain a distinct Chechen identity and Sunni Muslim heritage.
They are a diaspora people in the Caucasus people cluster of the Eurasian Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Chechen.
