The Komi of Kazakhstan
The Komi of Kazakhstan, numbering about 3,400 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Permian-speaking Finno-Ugric people indigenous to northeastern European Russia, traditionally engaged in hunting, fishing, trapping, reindeer herding, and agriculture in the forest regions west of the Ural Mountains.
They are a diaspora people in the Finno-Ugric people cluster of the Eurasian Peoples. Their primary religion is Eastern Orthodox Christianity, and they primarily speak Komi-Zyrian.
