The Yei of Indonesia
The Yei of Indonesia, numbering about 2,800 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Indigenous Papuan people of the Maro River and border lowlands of southern Papua whose ancestors migrated westward from the Fly River region and who maintain a distinct Yei language within the Yam linguistic family.
They are an indigenous people in the New Guinea people cluster of the Pacific Islander Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Yei.
