The Waris of Indonesia
The Waris of Indonesia, numbering about 1,600 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Border-language people of Indonesia's Keerom Regency in Papua, whose homeland straddles the Papua New Guinea frontier and whose Waris tongue belongs to a small family shared with the neighboring Awyi and Imonda peoples.
They are an indigenous people in the New Guinea people cluster of the Pacific Islander Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Waris.
