The Semimi of Indonesia
The Semimi of Indonesia, numbering about 1,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Papuan ethnolinguistic community of the Etna Bay region in West Papua, Indonesia. They maintain a distinct identity rooted in coastal settlements, clan relationships, customary lands, and long-standing ties to the Mairasi region.
They are an indigenous people in the New Guinea people cluster of the Pacific Islander Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Semimi.
