The Saweru of Indonesia
The Saweru of Indonesia, numbering about 450 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a small indigenous Papuan ethnolinguistic community of the Yapen-Cenderawasih Bay region of Papua, Indonesia. They maintain a distinct local identity and are closely related to neighboring Yawa-speaking communities.
They are an indigenous people in the New Guinea people cluster of the Pacific Islander Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Saweru.
