The Kaygir of Indonesia
The Kaygir of Indonesia, numbering about 15,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are the Boupdam people of the swampy lowlands along the Asaret and upper Juliana rivers in South Papua's Merauke Regency, known by the Kayagar language name and distinct from the geographically nearby Asmat.
They are an indigenous people in the New Guinea people cluster of the Pacific Islander Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Kayagar.
