The Gilika of Indonesia
The Gilika of Indonesia, numbering about 1,300 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Yali people of Highland Papua's isolated Yahukimo Regency, dwelling in the remote In Valley some 2,000 to 2,500 meters above sea level, whose rugged, near-inaccessible terrain has preserved a traditional way of life reachable mainly by air.
They are an indigenous people in the New Guinea people cluster of the Pacific Islander Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Kosarek Yale.
