The Fayu of Indonesia

The Fayu of Indonesia, numbering about 1,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a small Lakes Plain people of Papua's Waropen swamp forests who traditionally lived in scattered single-family bands, gathering as a larger group only once or twice a year for bride exchange, after a mid-1900s population collapse from internal feuding.

They are an indigenous people in the New Guinea people cluster of the Pacific Islander Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Fayu.
