The Mid Grand Valley Dani of Indonesia
The Mid Grand Valley Dani of Indonesia, numbering about 77,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a highland Papuan people of Indonesia's Baliem Valley in the Jayawijaya Mountains, whose ancestors gardened the valley for millennia before Western contact in 1938 and who form the largest of the Dani tribal groupings.
They are an indigenous people in the New Guinea people cluster of the Pacific Islander Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Mid Grand Valley Dani.
