The Mekongka of Indonesia
The Mekongka of Indonesia, numbering about 76,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Tolaki-speaking founding branch of southeastern Sulawesi's historic Mekongga kingdom, one of two ancient Tolaki kingdoms alongside Konawe, whose mostly Muslim villages still perform the monohu khau rice-cutting ceremony rooted in older animist tradition.
They are an indigenous people in the Toraja of Sulawesi people cluster of the Malay Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Tolaki.
