They are a Papuan-language people of Alor Island's mountainous interior in Indonesia, forcibly resettled to the coast by Indonesian administrators in the 1970s, a name mistakenly generalized from a village called Woisika meaning stone stack.

They are an indigenous people in the Flores-Sumba-Alor people cluster of the Malay Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Kamang.
