The Lio of Indonesia
The Lio of Indonesia, numbering about 125,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an Austronesian people of Ende district in central Flores whose oral tradition traces origins to Sumatra or Java, traditionally practicing dry-rice farming in the mountains and honoring ancestors through a ceremony called Pati ka ata mata ot Dhera.
They are an indigenous people in the Flores-Sumba-Alor people cluster of the Malay Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Li'o.
