The Ternate of Indonesia
The Ternate of Indonesia, numbering about 77,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a people of the historic Ternate Sultanate in North Maluku, Indonesia, whose non-Austronesian language and once-dominant clove trade made it a major vector for spreading Islam through eastern Indonesia.
They are an indigenous people in the Maluku-Northern people cluster of the Malay Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Ternate.
