The Tabaru of Indonesia
The Tabaru of Indonesia, numbering about 22,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a small non-Austronesian people of interior West Halmahera in North Maluku, Indonesia, historically subordinate to the larger neighboring Tobelo, farming nutmeg, clove and coconut in the legacy of the Moluccas' spice trade.
They are an indigenous people in the Maluku-Northern people cluster of the Malay Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Tabaru.
